- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, and all selections must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap system that eliminates the draw outcome by giving one team a fractional or whole goal advantage or disadvantage.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that lets you combine different markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital ticket where you enter the stake and confirm the bets you want to place.
- BTTS
- Short for "Both Teams To Score," a bet on whether each team will score at least one goal in the match.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle your bet before the event ends, either locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (win, draw, win) in a single match.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet where you win if your chosen team wins, and get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage you believe you have over the bookmaker's odds.
- Fixed Odds
- The odds that are set at the time you place your bet and do not change thereafter.
- Futures
- A bet placed on the outcome of a tournament or award that will be decided weeks or months later.
- Handicap
- A points or goal adjustment applied to a team to level the playing field for betting purposes.
- In-Play
- Bets placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges on a bet, usually reflected in the odds.
- Lay
- To bet against a particular outcome, acting as the bookmaker in a peer‑to‑peer bet.
- Limit
- The maximum amount a bookmaker will allow you to wager on a particular market.
- Moneyline
- A straightforward bet on which team will win the match, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- The numerical representation of the likelihood of an outcome, determining how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set figure.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for a payout, offering higher odds than single bets.
- Prop Bet
- A side wager on a specific event within a match, such as which player scores first or the number of yellow cards.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where you think the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an expected edge.
- Void
- A bet that is canceled and the stake is returned, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule violation.
